I thought I’d contribute with what I feel are some of the best scenic landscape views in Spain. My first nomination comes from the Northwestern coast of the country and a little town called Finesterre. This tiny fishing village, largely unpolluted by tourism, was once thought to be the edge of the world prior to Columbus. Hiking up the hills along the coast lends some spectacular views of jagged cliffs, the town below, and of course the ocean. The lush greenness of Galicia is absolutely breathtaking. The constant overcast weather in the region doesn’t take away from the beauty. A couple of my pics from my trip there in February 2002 can be found at the following URLs:

My second nomination is a sentimental favorite because it is the town in which I lived while in Spain. Toledo is a beautiful city that was once the capital of the country, and while it’s politcal and economic importance has no doubt diminished over the centuries, it has retained its beauty and looks much the same as it did centuries ago. For the best view of the city, go across el Rio Tajo to a hotel called El Parador. In the back they have a patio with a spectacular aeriel view of the city. Some of my fondest memories from my time in Spain were spent on the patio enjoying a cafe con leche and the outstanding sights and sounds of Toledo. This is how it looks:

Hey, Ben, Have you ever tried to do jogging while listening to your iPod or MP3 player? You are right when you say that just running is tedious but if you do it in a moderate fast gait that falls between a walk and a run, you will be experiencing that you are actually doing exercise and at the same time following a programme. It’s real fun and it’s like “matar dos pájaros de un tiro” How do you say that in english?
