Back after a trip to the Uk, wondering if video-casting might be a potentially interesting addition to the Notes From Spain set up… The podcasts will continue no matter what, but it’s only a matter of time until it’s just as feasible to download video as it is audio. So would anyone be interested in seeing the occasional bit of video footage of all things Spanish? I’m thinking outloud, but comments are welcome if you have any ideas… How to do it anyway? Must start investigating….
Video-casting of any interest?

I find podcasts much more interesting as they are more misterious and you have to use your imagination. However I’ll be listening/watching.

I’d love to see video, However, for me personally I’d say that I enjoy the podcast more… the medium for Podcasting allows me to listen just about anytime, not dependent upon watching. I can listen on my way to work, instead of listening to the dreadfully commercial radio, or while I’m working (and dreaming of far away destinations like Spain) but still get lots done, or just lying in bed at night catching up with what goes on around the world. So hopefully the Podcast stay around for awhile.
Still, I enjoy the “Rick Steves” video’s so I think it would be interesting.
best regards,

Video’d be nice, for sure. But the audio casts are great too, as is. I consider myself well entertained.

The podcasts wouldn’t disappear, this would just be an addition, visual snippets of Spain perhaps….

My ISP is about to increase my download speed to 2 Mb, so they think I want video
Audio preferred though as I am a recidivist radio listener and most podcasts are listened to as I drive around.
Many thanks for podcasts which I do enjoy – way above most of the rest and one of the very few I continue to download.
Do you do requests ! How does your wife pronounce “Aqualia” (local water company) ?

Garry – Aqualia is not a spanish word, but a latin one.
You should pronounce it: Ah-koo-áh-lee-ah
Video-casting as an addition to normal audio-castings could be very interesting, but I prefer audio.

Ben, it is a good idea! Those who wish to continue their podcast feeding can continue to do so. The addition of a vlog would be a welcome feature. Did you come into some new dv gear?

I would LOVE some video -
but I would still rather have biannual sightseeing tours of the alleyways & hidden nooks of Madrid!

Love your Podcast, my wife and I listen together and have great fun, especially the feel of of Spain that comes across your marital exchange and conversation. Could do with more verbal description. Video would be fine if it were also ok for listening on iTunes, as we do. Many thanks. Keep it up.
