Live Flamenco from La Solea in Madrid, a fantastic bar on Cava Baja. Also mentioned in the podcast: Casa Patas, the best place to see a full show with dancers, and Duende, a great read by Jason Webster.

Me gusta tu duende! Though not only was it too short, but where was Marina if not in the very background? Thanks, nevertheless, for let us back into the rhythms of Spain.
As ever,
Ivan & Julie

OK, too short, sorry! I promise a longer Flamenco cast in the future, maybe from somewhere different. I was actually worried that people might not want to hear too much of this!

I’ve just discovered these podcasts and am *really* enjoying them. Have you though of contacting the BBC to get a spot? If you’ve ever heard “Home Truths” on radio4, I’m sure your podcasts would be ideal.
keep it up and thanks for taking the time to produce these excellent podcasts

Hi Ben, thanks for the recommendation for the book Duende. I bought it just before leaving for India and I read it in one sitting on the flight to germany! It has everything I like. Spain, and guitars!

Ben,
Fantastic. The perfect way to end a Sunday afternoon was listening to this podcast. I cannot tell you enough, how much I enjoy these mini-vacations. Living in the US today, we need them. Muchas Gracias.

Thank you, I truly enjoyed your audio post card.
It reminds me very much, atmospherically, of an early recording of Manolo De Huelva, taken in the cafes. Such an intimacy you can’t get in a concert venue. I wish you well in your travels.

Glad you like the site! Sounds like you would love a book called Duende by Jason Webster!
