It’s time you started concreting those plans for your 2006 trip to Spain, and we think it’s time for a good old Notes from Spain podcast full of travel tips and ideas. We’ll record it, hopefully, on Tuesday night, so, if you have any questions or great ideas about a trip to Spain, comment below or e-mail us direct. Thanks!

Perhaps some tips on finding a decent cheapish hotel? I mean the sort unlikely to be full of vomiting Brits, of course. Perhaps I mean recognizing a decent cheap hotel. Any peculiarities to hotels in Spain specifically? That sort of thing. This is what generally causes me, a rather random traveller, the most hassle when I arrive anywhere unplanned…

Various recommendations on what parts of Spain to visit in particular months.

Perhaps explanation of Madrids hub-like status and best ways to reach said parts from Madrid, best transport method etc.

Thats a 2 hour podcast right there!

Best places to stay in Madrid. When I was in Madrid in June I stayed across the street from Plaza de España I think it was called Los Apartamentos or something. I dont remember entirely. But anything in that same general area would be cool or whatever.

I would be interested in hearing about the people of Spain, particular customs or traditions or just social norms and attitudes that might not be known or immediately understood outside of Spain. I will be living with a family in Granada and am interested in the personality of the Spanish people as a whole, as well as any social idiosyncracies or expectations I should anticipate from my “family.”

Where can one eat at say 6 or 7 PM in Madrid and on the Costa Del Sol? I understand that most restaurants don’t even open till 8PM or 9PM. BTW – your Notes in Spanish are great!

    Hello There, Ben and Marina

I am in San Francisco, California.
I really enjoy listening to you guys, is really helpful and very cute to see a young couple in a project like that.

To bad I only found your pod cast program after you had actually gone to India.

PS: India is my favorite country when comes to culture and people. I would love to be part of any future project you might have in vision.

My boyfriend is from Madrid, believe me it was a deal for me to have found you guys.

Let me know if I can help some how.

    Cheerio
