Tea in Munnar!
by Ben Curtis
The best day yet today, down stunning mountain roads from Kodai, across the plains then up through spectacular tea plantations that carpeted endless rolling hills - without doubt the most movingly beautiful road I have ever seen.
Two days riding left, then one days rest before heading back to the UK. I feel like I could ride acroos India for months, and hope that very soon I will… Still, this has been an introduction beyond all expectations. I highly recommend it! Hasta pronto!

Hola, Ben. WO! You’re in India? How are you communicating with people there? Do you ou have a translator? Funny….you’re fluent in Español now, and then you go to India (and I have no idea what language they speak there!). Adiós. (Within this message, you just saw the limits of my knowledge de Español. –Beth Smaligo

as selfish as it sounds, the inner places r outstanding

Next plan? Biking round the entire Iberian peninsular coast. Anyone up for it?

Beth - they all speak English in Southern India, so no problems there!

Your descriptions of the amazing countryside reminded me of motorcycling round Spain some years ago.
The wide open landscapes of Extremadura; the ‘wild-western’ desert in Almeria; the breathtaking views over the passes of the Picos de Europa; and, of course, serendipity round every corner. No tigers, no fever, stomach OK, ’skid marks’ rare, lovely smells (mostly), lovely people.
