Maybe a bit out of date, but as a personal advice from a person who lives in Madrid centre I would recommend a cosy and very romantic restaurant called "Rasputin" located in Yeseros, 4 Street just by the viaduct. My wife and I are been going there for 13 years now and is our favorite one and reasonably priced.

I must try that. When I get off the Teleferico I always tend to head back towards the Parque de Atracciones, which is anything but quiet!

Another park - el Campo del Moro - goes down the hill behind the royal palace and is well worth a visit, although in my experience opening times seem to be a bit unpredictable. Much quieter than Retiro and well looked after.

On the Casa de Campo, if you feel like walking after taking the teleferico, head out in a north-west direction (towards the mountains and away from the amusement park) and find the peaceful and most beautiful parts of it.
