“Oh my God, take me there” was Marina’s reaction when she saw this photo, by Fred Shively. Now I have always had a funny relationship with yoga – I’ve taken it up and dropped it again three times in the last 4 years – but I’m right behind her on this one. How relaxing does that look?! Sitting high in the Alpujarras, south of Granada, with that view? Yes please! The photo was taken at Kaliyoga retreat if you feel in need of such an experience yourself…

Ben, thanks for posting. Yes, Kaliyoga is that lovely, and that’s even before you get to the gourmet vegetarian food or Rosie and Jonothan who run the whole thing. I guess from your Intermediate Worksheet 2, about noise in Madrid, that this would be a pin-up shot for you!
All the best, Arpi

Oh yes, if it’s all as calm and restoring as the photo above, I’ll definitely get there some time!

I’m up for a trip to las Alpujarras!!! I’d love to visit kaliyoga and taste their vegetarian food.

To be honest it looks like hell to me. Now there are plenty of places in the Alpujarras where the bar has a great view and where you can sit with a beer in one hand. If you really want to concentrate on breathing then you can put a fag in the other hand and worry about your lungs between drags.

So, you and Valenciason need a retox center rather than a detox center! Plenty of those in Spain too!

With a magnificent view like this in front of you, how can you think of a stinking, carcinogenic fag? :p
Gourmet veggie food sounds great, as long as they serve real coffee in the morning (Italian expresso please).

“how can you think of a stinking, carcinogenic fag?” As an american, do you know how funny that questions sounds?;)
