i hate these podcasts, acutally i dont hate them, i just hate the idea of them, because i have to do a summer assignment for school based off of these stupid shits.i’m sorry i’m sure you’re nice people and all, but i’m sick of these, and i’m sick of looking at the transcripts and having to translate half of this stuff online and its like one in the morning and i’m tired as hell and i wish you had never made these.

I think he should focus on mastering English before moving to a foreign language. Keep up the good work on your “stupid shits”, Ben and Marina.

I really can’t believe that someone would post something like that. How silly. If it is of any consolation, I think your podcasts are great and I can’t get enough of them. Keep up the great work!

I sympathise with him. Most of us come here through choice and eagerly feast of the treasures within. But to be forced to do translations by a school regime is another matter altogether.

I can’t help but feel their pain. Like Jules says, it must be pretty crappy to be “forced” to do something like this against your will (although I can think of worse things!).
If it helped them let of steam and get to sleep soon after 1am, then I’d class it as forgiveable…. just
PS. I’ve just decided I’m officially “old and cranky” and it’s winding me up like crazy that so many people don’t seem to bother with caps at the beginning of sentences anymore. It just shows the generation coming up has only learnt to write courtesy of Microsoft Word etc and it’s auto-caps correction! jeje. :-0

Sounds like one of the kids I taught at a school in Madrid over the last few years. Parents do seem to love giving their kids extra homework here in Spain.

Everyone is assuming he is a boy; what does that say about our expectations of boys these days? If he is then let him in on a secret that I never knew as a child: if you can speak Spanish then you can get to know some of the most beautiful females on earth. If this child’s attraction is towards males then just give him a web link to a page full of toreros, they are pretty damn handsome!

They really do have no interest in learning. Funny thing is, one day they’ll meet a hot spanish speaking person and wished they’d done their homework properly!
