This is just the very basics of the tapas,
if you want see hundreds of diferent tapas you should go to the old part of San Sebastian.
there's plenty of bares and tabernas with the most exquisite tapas, of course it can cost up to 2 euros, but it's worth it, go from one bar to another and also drink not only cañas also sidra and txakoli.

That first tapa doesn't look so bad when compared to what is served in most US bars.

To me, there is nothing average about any well-made tortilla. Instead of a calendar with swim suit models every month, how about you do one with a different slice of tortilla? The one featured here can be my birthday month of August. Hubba hubba!

Every time I make a tortilla I solicit trucos from Spanish friends. It seems that there are so many ways to make this deceptively simple dish that recipes are as numerous and defining as finger prints. Don't leave a half-eaten tortilla at the scene of a crime; the ingredients may lead right back to you (I think I saw it on CSI Sevilla).

You should do an entire entry on the tortilla. Better yet, devout your entire blog to it. That would be just fine with me. I must say that if I ever went to a bar and saw such a beautiful tortilla like the one in the picture, I would start screaming like a 13 year old girl at a Ricky Martin concert. I just say this as a warning if you are ever out in public with me.

I know people who loathe the tubo for beer, I'm personally not so fussy but I do prefer a more "copa" style glass if I'm given the choice. The colour of the tapa is definitely worrying, but I would probably still eat it.
