Stuart O’Donnell put me onto a great podcast with an interesting segment on Spain’s Love Bus: “I heard it while listening to a European Union podcast from Deutsche Welle Radio (www.dw-world.de) which is available on itunes. The podcast in question is titled “Has President Putin become his own successor” dated 6th October 2007 … the [Love Bus] report starts about 36 mins 30 secs into the podcast and lasts about 7 mins.” Well worth a listen. iTunes link.

Ben, thanks for the phrases there are some useful ones in there. Not sure they are all ‘cool’ though. My 74 year old father-in-law is the only person I hear saying ‘que barbaridad’, in fact he says it every other word. So I try to avoid that phrase, unless I’m taking the mickey out of him!

also, forgot to say I know ‘no me entero de la misa la media’ not ‘no me entero de la misa la mitad’??
another phrase to add could be ‘Eres un buitre’ – ‘You are selfish/greedy’

another, for a man who doesn’t have the balls to stand up to his woman: ‘no seas calzonazos’ – ‘don’t be a coward’ (i’m usually guilty of this one!)
‘que guay’ and ‘que cruz’ are two obvious phrases.
