Google Maps have added geotagged photos and wikipedia entries to their already invaluable service. It really is quite fun to click around Spain for a while. Click here to check it out!

Fascinating option, I’ve just checked out a couple of German and UK areas on it.
Does anyone else remember the Domesday Discs? It was sort of the same idea, but with 80s technology. The disc with all the photos is online here: http://www.domesday1986.com/
If you haven’t a clue what I’m on about, here is some background info: http://tinyurl.com/538c5v

Thanks for bringing this to my attention – I’ve blogged it now too.
and thanks for the brilliant blog – it makes me feel so much nearer to Spain and all things Spanish – not quite the same as being there, but at least I can enjoy it vicariously ;o)

I had my students do a similar assignment for their project. They had to prepare a dream trip to Italy and using google maps and twitter, they had to show their classmates where they would go and what they would see. In particular, I asked them to focus on the satellite view so they could get better perspectives of the Italian piazza (see St. Mark’s in Venice, St Peter’s in Rome and the three connected piazze in Perugia).
It is quite an amazing tool, and so fun to share.
Enjoy,

Only 10 minutes? I think I spent a little more time than that.
