Apologies for the light posting here recently, we’ve been working hard on our new Notes in Spanish Inspired Beginners podcasts. Full details here for those that want to learn more about music, por y para, shopping, and Spanish customs!
In other news… Marina and I are off to the green, and hopefully substantially cooler, north of Spain for a week (Asturias way). I’ll even be happy if it rains for a week! Bring on the need for a jacket! ¡Adios Calor!

come up to Holland, my friends… bring a jacket… and an umbrella… and a raincoat… maybe a wet-suit would be better!

Be careful with what you wish for.
Yesterday, while walking under the sheltering shadow of the greenery of the National Gardens in Athens, listening to the sound of cicadas in a torrid afternoon, I understood how important having a real Summer is to me. Arriving later in the evening in a Novembery Brussels was a total anticlimax. And this is the third lousy Summer in a row. Do you still believe in those climate change gurus? Just in case they were right, I am committed to double my carbon footprint this year.

Let’s hope you get the cooler weather you’re looking for! I’m off to the North on Friday (San Sebastian though) and was told to pack a raincoat. Well I’ve just checked the weather and it’s 34 degrees there today!
Enjoy ur holiday!

RE wetsuit: don’t forget to bring rubber boots, self-tanning cream, a sun lamp, and lots of stuff to keep you busy indoors!
