Hi Ben and Marina,

Congratulations! What a gift - mother and baby are doing more than well - let me tell you: Do enjoy this - now that time has stopped for a little while!
In our case we were both well too, Yara and me - but separated for some time nevertheless against our will - just because Yara - as contrasted with Leo - was some weeks early and we don’t have a hospital here which can supply rooming in for mother and child in case the baby stands in the need of some medical prophylaxis.
It was the very thing I had been thinking about during all the time of my pregnancy - I wanted to avoid this but couldn’t - as the next proper hospital is some 25 km away and couldn’t be reached quickly enough because labour had started all of a sudden.
So we went to the birth clinic again yesterday while Yara’s midwife was on night duty like on her birthday (birthnight) - and we went through everything agin by acting the scene with a video camera - incluso with the original clothing and necklace (glittering heart, been worn during pregnancy).
And we talked it all over.
As a result we then heard Yara’s very first crow of delight!!

Her star sign is ‘Lion’ so I call her “lionbaby” when she ‘fights’ her beloved breast - and Leo is a little lion too - nice name!
He’s a pretty baby - and I think he looks like his mother.

!4th Novemeber is Children’s Day in India. Our first Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru was born on this day in 1889. His name means a precious jewel. May Leo become a precious jewel, not only for the family , but for entire mankind. Mukul Jain, New Delhi (Ben - you were so kind to me when I was in Zaragoza, Spain a year ago! I am still struggling with my Spanish as there is no one else who speaks this language here)

Wow, what a handsome lil dude - he looks soooo much like his mum!
Not much else to say that everyone else hasn´t said - it really doesn´t get any better than this - my daughter´s 11 now, but I still remember the moment they handed her to me (her mum had a caesarian so I was first to hold her), enjoy every moment - you won´t ever forget a single one!

Congratulations! It gets easier, by the way. You get a rhythm going and he will develop a real world schedule that syncs a bit better. A lot of older folks will bore you silly telling you to pay attention because it goes by fast - listen up, because they are right, and it does go by so much faster than you can imagine.
