I have booked a 5 day trip to Tenerife in November.
I'd like to do some hiking, some sightseeing and some relaxing on the beach. I've started looking through the guide book and the Internet for ideas, but does anyone have any suggestions of where to stay, where to go and things definitely not to miss?

You could hang out with Edith! I believe she'll be there at that time. ;D

Hi Dobbin,
I will be in Costa Adeje from Nov 4 until December 4, when will you be going?

I'll be there from the 8th until the 12th of November. I'm going with a friend from work, but it would be nice if we could arrange to meet up. I've never met a person from cyberspace in real life before.

You will obviously have to have a look at Teide and the surrounding Lunar Landscape, it's a lovely drive up there. I was there about 15 years ago, so I'm afraid I can't remember any more than that!

Hi Dobbin,
I was earlier this year in Tenerife with three girl friends and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in the north of the island (the less touristy part) and it was more of a relaxing and catch up holiday that visiting lots of places but we managed to record a podcast (http://www.notesfromspain.com/390/) on Canarian food, in case that you are interested.

That would be a great idea! Where will you be staying? Costa Adeje is on the south coast. Here is some info on the language school I will be going to:

Thanks for the link to the language school. It looks really good. I wish I had a few weeks rather than just a few days so I could include some Spanish classes in my trip.
We've not decided where to stay yet. I'm still researching on the Internet. I mainly want to avoid the places which are too touristy (or maybe just those with too many English tourists). I wonder where Spanish people stay?
