Hello,
I am interested in spending about 11 days in Spain this March, with my main destinations being Sevilla, Granada and, well, not sure where else.
I'm having hard time getting estimates of how expensive this will be. If I stay in hostels, eat out once a day (sometimes more), drink coffee, do some sight-seeing, some drinking, ride buses and trains, etc....can anyone help or point me toward how I'd figure out the daily price in euros/dollars for this kind of trip?
any info would be very helpful,
thanks,
-Michael

It can be as cheap/expensive as you want, just like in your home country!
Not sure on the price of travel between seville and granada but it may be a little expensive!
Eating out (depending on the meal) can be around 20euros (depending on meal and restaurant)
Drinking coffee and beer could be as cheap as a few euro, yet again depending on where you go. The more central places are more expensive than the places off beaten tracks.
Dont expect Spain to be majorly cheap, as you sound like your going on a holiday, and will be treating yourself to items and such, which you dont usually in your home country.
Enjoy yourself whilst your in Spain, and dont worry about the money!

I'd say that as for eating out, you shouldn't need to spend more than 10 euros for a decent menu del día wherever you are. If you're prepared to eat with builders, office workers, nurses and van drivers - and who isn't? - then this is the food option I'd go for, whether on a budget or not.

Good advice! :thumbs-up:
In Logroño recently, I joined my family in a restaurant as they were looking at the tourist menu in English. They had worked out their meal would cost them 40-50 euros per head. I asked in Spanish for the menu de día and saw that we got almost the same dishes for 10 euros per head including wine and bread. Same food, same cook, same service! Always go for the menu del día unless it is a special occasion.:thumbs-up:
