The Digg Effect

For the web geeks amongst us out there, this may interest you... The video I put up on the NFS blog yesterday got Dugg (http://digg.com/videos_music/Amazing_UFO_shaped_trashcan_lid_type_lap_held_musi cal_instrument) and has so far lead to 6,000 new visitors to the site in the first 12 hours!

Dont complain - people pay a fortune to get that - adsense might even be worthwhile at 6000 hits a day!!

The word 'UFO' alone always draws large crowds... ;D add 'OVNI' and this will attract the hispanohablantes in droves... I would call it the Mulder factor.

Unfortunately the Digg crowd do not digg ads. I think we made about 3 dollars extra today! In fact, the big effect at this end was our server shutting down the forum for 20 mins til I called them up and they switched us on again!

Yup - to protrct the other domains on the site I presune - in the same vein as Adam Christiansons Maccast podcast I sent....
At least they were good enough to switch you back on...
