Right, Lost 3 is not out in Spain yet so it would be irresponsible of me to say that I had seen it, but, for arguments sake, let's say I have (let's say it fell off the back of a lorry ;) )

I thought it was crap. They obviously needed to majorly regenerate the plot as they had run out of ideas for the other side of the island and needed to spin off in a new direction. What was all that nonsense with the cages?! The baddies actually live in a nice little town on the other side of the island? Come on...

I have decided that unless I hear things get majorly better in episode 2, I will not be going on with Lost (when it gets to Spain of course!)

It has actually made me realise that one should never get into this kind of series in the first place, as they start out with a good idea, have about two season's worth of plot in mind, then realise they can milk the idea for five or more seasons and make loads more money. No conclusions are ever reached, and the story is never satisfactorily resolved. I think films and books are the way forward - where you get one nice package, never go beyond a trilogy, and generally find out what happens sooner rather than (in the case of Lost) never.

I gave up on Lost after the first few episodes of series 1 as it just wasn't capturing my imagination. I'm glad I did bin it now (for exactly all the reasons Ben says). I was worried that Desperate Housewives would go the same way after the first great series (and it nearly did with the storyline about the mother with her son in the cellar - it can't have been just me who thought that was a major lowlight of series 2 and I could almost sense the producers trying to wrap it up quickly so they could get on with better stories)

When I heard that, in Lost, they'd found a load of "tail-enders" on another part of the island, I had to laugh. A series like that can't exactly bring in new characters very easily. It's not like an Australian Soap where there's a constant supply of long lost cousins and illegitmate children to crawl out of the woodwork! The producers must be petrified of an actor bailing on his/her contract and leaving them a bit short on the old "Passenger List" hehe :D

Survivor 1: "Who's this new character then?"

Survivor 2: "Oh yeah, she was trapped in the toilet when the plane crashed and she's been living on compressed toilet waste throughout series 1 and 2, but now she's here with her husband and stunning beautiful 20 yr old children, all perfectly plucked and preened and bringing with them a whole new set of potential flashback scenes!"

Oh Please!

PS. I'm going to go and get myself a life now... ;)

Get ye to Battle Star Galactica, the new series. Catch yourself up to the middle of season 2. Much better than Lost (Gilligan's Island) or Decrepit Housewives  You don't have to be into Sci Fi.

Ben I sort of felt the same way as you. There have been no answers given to any questions in pretty much the entire last season. They are in a Zoo by the way Ben, I am not sure what's up with that, but I am getting sick of all the dharma stuff, ok it's interesting, but let's move on.

Lost is turning nearly too sci-fi for me, but I guess I will continue to watch it. It's a social thing too, my friends and I disscuss it, analyze it, drool over it, and so on.

TV is well TV, most of it sucks, starts out great and get's boring, or has too many commericals(You know when cable first came out, it's selling point was that it didn't have commercials) lost is the only show I watch regulary. Though I have watched all 5 seasons of MacGyver on DVD(What a great show)

No plot advancement, that's all I want, some effing plot advancement! My wife has made me promise we watch 3-2 and I'll see then if I give up, I'm guessing not, but lately it's become painful to watch. How many flashbacks to your old lives can we get, some of the characters have shown their whole lives to us. Please tell me this show has a direction. One more and I'm out! Ryan

Not sure to be honest, you may be lucky, but it may be summer time before the next season starts here.

I just finished watching Season 1 of Battlestar Galactica. What a fantastic show!

Do you get the Sci Fi channel? I know it's in Spain but you have to have cable. Did you catch season 1 on DVD? Much better than the original. I truly believe the writing, acting and cinematography is excellent. You don't have to be into Sci Fi to get into BSG. Last week started the new episodes of season 2. I am psyched! I won't spoil anything.

Yeah last night episode was pretty good, I would have given it a B+, a lot happened and more questions were answered. The best episode so far...
