Quise conocer lo que personas piense sobre el falto de los merengues a Lyon y especialmente este frase "No se puede ir de chulo por la vida..... que significa en ingles por favor?

"Ir de chulo" means "act cockey" (more or less) but AFIK the "por la vida" part of the phrase is really only there for emphasis, and doesn't have a direct translation in English (at least not one that I can think of right now). I guess that you could translate the phrase as "you can't act cockey all the time" and it would kind of fit.

In english you might say...."there is no call (or reason) to be cocky, not on your life!

Like someone else said, the "por la vida" is for emphasis like "not on your life" in english! Of course, one is not literal of the other but each conveys the idea absoluteness.
