I'm feeling kind of geeky happy.
I just created a customized search engine via Google's "custom search" feature for searching spanish-language learning websites. I called it "google escuela de español"
It is here:
http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=009688971976646282011:uwhjrk7biic
Basically it's set up to search specific sites only. Right now it has only: spanish.about.com, www.notesinspanish.com (http://www.notesinspanish.com), www.notesfromspain.com (http://www.notesfromspain.com)
So I need more to add. Give me your favorite spanish learning websites and I will add them.
If you use Igoogle you can add this search to your google homepage, so it'll pop right up with your regular google search.
What's cool about this is that you can search for a phrase or idiom, such as "a mi parecer (http://www.google.com/custom?hl=es&client=google-coop&cof=FORID:13%3BAH:left%3BCX:Google%2520escuela%252 0de%2520espa%25C3%25B1ol%3BL:http://www.google.com/intl/es/images/logos/custom_search_logo_sm.gif%3BLH:30%3BLP:1%3BVLC:%23 551a8b%3BDIV:%23cccccc%3B&adkw=AELymgUB475JMT3jfDw6x8yD2xpHEPzrZFrX5_KuNe2Uh yj6FGYQbI7oyiFGnebadB3rZUa7mGXnasGVpEtOoJwZkpjjSg7 6u3LPI4Z2imzionZuLJmUpas&boostcse=0&cx=009688971976646282011:uwhjrk7biic&ei=AeS8S_-1BYT68AbGsezMCA&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&ved=0CAQQBSgA&q=%22a+mi+parecer%22&spell=1)" or "dar vueltas a (http://www.google.com/custom?hl=es&client=google-coop&cof=FORID%3A13%3BAH%3Aleft%3BCX%3AGoogle%2520escue la%2520de%2520espa%25C3%25B1ol%3BL%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2F www.google.com%2Fintl%2Fes%2Fimages%2Flogos%2Fcust om_search_logo_sm.gif%3BLH%3A30%3BLP%3A1%3BVLC%3A% 23551a8b%3BDIV%3A%23cccccc%3B&adkw=AELymgUB475JMT3jfDw6x8yD2xpHEPzrZFrX5_KuNe2Uh yj6FGYQbI7oyiFGnebadB3rZUa7mGXnasGVpEtOoJwZkpjjSg7 6u3LPI4Z2imzionZuLJmUpas&boostcse=0&q=%22dar+vueltas+a%22&cx=009688971976646282011%3Auwhjrk7biic)" (some idioms I just learned today) and you will (hopefully) find pages that explain the terms rather than just coming across random websites, messages board, etc. where people have used the phrase. (though you'll get those two - but it'll be easier to sort through since we're not searching the whole Internet).
Start giving me those websites!
