Hi gang !!!
I'm back home after two weeks backpacking through Europe (London, Norwich, Prague, Brugges, Paris and Madrid).
These past four days in Madrid were great: nice weather, good food, good wine, and good friends. I love goin' to Madrid (3rd time now). It's like home away from home.
Visiting Madrid in a "puente" (you have to check notes in Spanish about that ;D) has its high's: The city is somewhat empty or there is hardly any traffic and less crowded and no queues. The low is that a lot of the businesses are closed. That was the case for many of the bars and restaurants along Cava Baja and Cava Alta streets, also because the pavement of Cava Baja was under maintenance. That was a shame 'cause I really was looking forward to dine at one of the restaurants that Ben and Marina recomended through their podcasts.
All in all, Madrid greeted me very well.
Well, I hope you all can visit Madrid sometime.
P.S. You can buy very good wine at a very good price at El Corte Inglés. Too bad the airline misplaced my luggage :mad:.
