Pure curiosity on my part... take the survey above. (We are both PC people... being a Mac owner in Spain was so frustrating after a few years - little support etc - that I changed...)

Windoze user but not proud of it. I'm a big advocate of free and open source software, and an opponent of so-called intellectual property rights beyond some basic copyright protection for authors.
Also, just in case people hadn't heard, there ARE other MP3 players out there other than iPods! [/rant]
As soon as I can find Linux drivers for my scanner, and sound card drivers that work better for me, I'll be switching.

I might sound picky here, but by "PC" do you mean a "Windows" box? I have a PC and am currently running Linux. At the moment, I have this forum open on Firefox, I have the podcast downloading on Juice and am listening to it through the new pop-up windows. I'm also logged onto Skype.
Who needs to pay for software? :)
I'll select Linux, but it's running on a normal PC . . .
Incidentally, all three can be run on the one system. Have a look at http://wiki.onmac.net/index.php/Triple_Boot_via_BootCamp . At the moment, I can run either Windows or Linux on this computer, but I only run Windows when absolutely necessary. Linux is much more flexible.

You're right, I guess by PC I mean Windows running in a PC box.

Actually, I use windows at home and Suse Linux at work.
In fact for the past 6 years I've been using either Linux or Unix so I feel more identified with them than with windows.

I'm with you on this one - I wouldn't give anything but a Mac houseroon - there are four in our house - G4 PowerMac, G4 17" Powerbook (son), 15" Macbook Pro (me) and12" iBook (a spare).
Things are much easier than they used to be now that most major apps are cross-platform and things will only get easier with dual and tripl booting now possible and hopefully virtualisation will be built in to MacOS 10.5 Leopard and our macs will just run Windows apps as standard....
That said I make my living working in the Windows environment

Being an Apple employee, I of course use Macs. I have 4 15" PowerBooks, 1 12" PowerBook, a G5 Tower for power, a G4 tower for my server, a G3 PowerBook and a couple old iMacs. Oh yeah, and I have one old beige PC box for testing purposes, but with BootCamp / Parallels and a new MacBook Pro to come soon, hopefully I'll be able to get rid of that. The 15" laptop is my machine of most common use.

Sadly, no, Steve Jobs is pretty serious about not letting information out, so I normally learn about a new product on rumor boards or press releases like everyone else. It's a "fireable" offense if you get caught leaking too... I sure would like to have one though :)
