sure, go to the movistar website and sign on as a "cliente", it'll give you instructions on how to top up your credit on-line. Barring that, have you got a friend in Spain who could charge it for you? I've done this for other people using my bank debit card.

You can buy them on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SPANISH-MOVISTAR-SIM-CARD-SPAIN-18-ANTENNA-BOOSTER_W0QQitemZ300066849879QQihZ020QQcategoryZ27 330QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem), they start at about £12 for 18€ worth of credit.

I seem to remeber that this was more or less impossible from the UK. Movistar used to demand things that I just couldn't arrange and, to be honest, it isn't simple through the website even here. I seem to remember you have to go to a Movistar agent to sign the contract to be able to do anything online.
If you know anyone with a bank account in Spain that offers Intenet banking then it's dead easy. I always charge my phone up here that way.
If you can't find any other way to do it send me a message and I may be able to help you but that does, of course, mean that one of us has to trust the other for a few euros!

I got round this problem by buying a Vodafone españa Sim (via ebay.es -- by the way they are usually cheaper than buying on ebay.co.uk). They are easy to top up from UK with a voucher.
