No one has mentioned that the Notes from Spain podcast celebrated its first birthday on Monday. I just wanted to say thanks to Ben and Marina for their dedication.

Thanks Alan, I almost missed it! Things are VERY hectic at the moment work-wise, hence delay in latest Spanish cast for example, but hopefully we will be somewhere interesting the weekend after next and we can try to celebrate the 1 year anniversary with a great Notes from Spain!

I've managed to put your podcasts on my MP3 player in the last few weeks and am happily brainwashing myself in preparation for a three week trip to Compostela in July. Many thanks for all your good work. I'm sure you're contributing to making this one a success and not a disaster like the last time.

Good question. I had in mind Marina's answer on the 'Please and thank you in Spain' thread but I seem to have mentally pasted in added information obtained from a colleague whom I consulted about the same matter on Saturday.

His advice on the subject, having lived in Galicia for twenty-one years, is to thank people for a genuine favour (and not a simple courtesy) only once as any more than that comes across as insincere.

Thank you, for asking. I imagine Ben was wondering what I was talking about too. :blush:
