wordreference (http://www.wordreference.com)

You have to have a membership, but Rosetta Stone is really nice: http://www2.rosettastone.com/en/?a=b

It's been fun attemping Portugese on there.

Rosetta stone sucks! We got a grant for it to use it this year, so we had to use it some. I mean I guess it's ok, if you are 40 years old trying to learn spanish by yourself and you have no other way to learn, but it is very expensive.

No, it's useless even if you are older than forty (heavens is this site getting agist?). I much prefer Pimsleur and the Linguaphone All Talk set of disks. But then there is no one method that will teach you all. It has to be a mixture of disks, podcasts, TV and radio and reading - and finding someone to talk to if a all possible. (Probably the best way!)

It's free to me because of school and the public library system.
