Lumpsuckerpig (thanks also to Viajero for input) has set up a Skype cast called Spanish Notes (details here (http://www.notesfromspain.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1375#post1375)), and we will be chatting today at 3 pm GMT, come and join us and let's see how it goes!

Just do a search for Spanish Notes on the Upcoming Skype Casts page (https://skypecasts.skype.com/skypecasts/upcoming)

Update: time change to 3 pm GMT (sorry, this is all still new to me, more planning for the next one!!)

I'm ok at translating spanish/english . . . . but not so good at time zones . . .

What does 3pm GMT mean for us Peruanos?

I think I might have already missed it.

3pm BST or GMT is not good for UK workers. Still I cannot find the Skypecast anyway in "Upcoming" and "Spanish notes" :D Difficult to please everyone, maybe weeknds would get most.

To work out time zones, try:

I tried

It seems to work fine and you can set up several different time zones. There are lots more on Download.com - though it is advisable to read the reviews if there are any!
NB this is a free for 14 days trial

Thanks to all those that participated in the Skype cast today, and for lumpsuckerpig for setting it up (what does that name mean???). I thought it was fantastic, a few teething problems need to be sorted out, but in general it has huge potential as an idea. Any feedback from those that took part would be great, but in general my impressions include:

- it's essential to have a good broadband connection that isn't working on anything else at the same time
- it's best to use a headset (or at least earphones if using a laptop or stand-alone mic, otherwise there are problems with echo and feedback)

I'm not sure how it would work with more than 5 people... but I'm sure we will find out sooner or later!!

Would anyone be up for an all member skype cast soon? Tengo ganas de charlar con vosotros. A partir de las 5 (hora de EEUU) sería perfecto para mí pero ¿cuándo os convendría mejor? ¿Cuál día?

A cual zona de tiempo en los EEUU te refieres?

Though I wasn't available for the session, I hope it went well. Has there been any discussion for another session?
