Just wanted to say a quick "Hello" to everyone.
I'm really embarrassed that I can't do a wonderful intro in Spanish, as everyone else seems to have done.:( I didn't study Spanish at school, but thankfully my wife speaks it very well! I'm limited to a bit of conversational stuff - enough to eat and survive!
My wife and I are the proud owners of a beautiful little house in a small hamlet not far from Velez Rubio. A quiet, relaxing little place in a gorgeous area of such a lovely country. We bought it last September, and spend as much time there as we can. One day soon we hope to get out of the rat race in England, sell up and move to Spain permanently - how I wish that could be tomorrow!
We brought my parents over for a one week holiday last month, and they were taken aback by the stunning views, as well as the peace and tranquility of the area. They had such a lovely time, and I was as proud as punch to have had the chance to show them our little "dream" - my dad is in his mid 80s, and we were a little worried that we may never have been able to show them why we had decided to buy somewhere "so far away" (as THEY saw it!).
Anyway - enough rambling from me!
We are taking out two sons (20 & 18) for a visit in a couple of weeks, so we are hoping that the sun will be shining every day for them. I can't wait to get there!
Anyone else located in this area?
