Hola!
Does anyone out there have much experience of Dentists in Spain ?
I don't need any major work done, just a check-up and clean.
I'm off to London for a few days, is it cheaper in Spain?
Thanks in advance !!!!!

My last check up and clean cost me 60 euros though I have since decided to change dentists so can't help you with a recommendation as I still haven't found a new one!

Scale & clean 42€
Fillings from 72€:) to 92€ depending on size
Minor work on grooves in tooth 42€ each
hope that helps

I seem to have struck lucky as the one I went to solved a long-standing problem for me simply by removing some filling. Neither a dentist in the UK nor a Spanish one I used last sorted that out.
I'll let you know in a couple of years if the fillings I'm down for work out as well ;D

Ok, I'm sure that's blatent advertising, but what a web site! And useful too.
So Ben, how about a part of the forum /blog where you allowed useful info like this. I'm due a check up, so I have noted the details. For sure, if this guy was not good I would be sure to post a comment, and that would be useful to others. Pity they can't spell sophisticated on the english page.
Being a spectacle wearer I have wondered about getting an eye test in Madrid, but that involves a fair bit of conversation and I don't think my Spanish is up to it yet. Are there any opticians who speak English?
Ditto doctors, hair-dressers, lawyers, tailors etc.

You are right Richardksa I will make some corrections in the page.It was translated by a non speaking english group. You can also post a comment concerning the quality of the dental treatment received at our center if you come.

I have thought about adding a classified's / small ads section for people to add whatever they want, all sorts of services like this etc, what do you think?

That might work, but I was really thinking along the lines of recommendations. However, if a service provider advertises his business as English friendly, then that's fine. I have enough to worry about in dentist's visits without wondering if he's going to work on the wrong tooth because I got my derechos and izquierdas confused. And as for hairdressers, I want my "no demasiado corto" to be understood as just a little off the top.
