Ben, I notice that you often use a word when Marina corrects you, for example, or as a simple interjection. It sounds like "bah-le"...am I correct that you are saying "vale", and does that mean something to similar to "that's fair" or "fair enough"? I am new to this forum and am more familiar with the Spanish of Mexico and Central & South America, and I don't think that word is used as often here in the SW United States. Can you please educate me on that? Thanks

In addition to what is posted in that other post, I'd say that the S America equivalent is probably 'ya', but I'm not 100% sure.

Hi Liam, welcome! As I mention in the post Eldeano points too, Vale means 'OK' here in Spain.
