Hi all,
I´m going to be moving to Murcia from Castellon in two weeks or so,My company is arranging accommodation for me but to be honest I want to find a different place. I am looking to share with locals, preferably people in late 20´s working. where would you start to look?

I should know the answer to this and apart from suggesting the website for La Verdad (one of the local rags) I have no real ideas

The tourist office www.murciaturistica.es might be good because they've been dead helpful to me over lots of quite odd bits of info and there is some sort of history here in that the tourist set up in Elche helped a pal of mine find a place to rent and seemed to think it was a dead normal request.

Are you actually heading for Murcia City? If you are I don't think it would work there but in the smaller places a phone call to the Town Hall (easy internet search) can lead to all sorts of contacts (oh, my brother in law knows some young people looking for someone to share etc.), the Casas de Cultura seem to be hotbeds for knowing what's going on and, again, in places like Lorca, Yecla and Jumilla the local TV stations will run your ad for free

Thank you very much Culebronchris,
My work is actually in Los Alcazares but the rent is so high and nobody shares i was actually thinking of comuting from Murcia city, there I could live with and get to know people.ie have a life! Is it too big of a commute?
I have contacted some estate agents and they are all looking at 600/650 per month.
Do you know how the bus service is like between Murcia y Los Alcazares?
I will look up your suggestions.
thanks again,
Penny

It must be 50km and I'd be surprised if there is much from the Capital to the coast but there are all sorts of transport links on the same Tourist website http://www.carm.es/ctyc/murciaturistica/Portal/iya.transportes.crea_pagina?idi=1&seccion=8

And one of the other local papers is el Faro
