Very good - and our first striptease ;D
Of course being a resident in the Valencian region I'll have to question your choice of club to support!
Muy claro español con accento americano precioso. Entiendo casí todo. (My fault for the rest - not yours)
¿Porque los espanoles no hablan como eso? ;D;D;D;D
Enjoy your trip.

Very clever! At the very least, you should get nominated for best wardrobe and best props.

Ben wanted me to try to post the actual video in the forum let's see if this works!
Val - I did know that shorts is pantalones cortos but it is sooo long!! Plus "short" sale en el Diccionario de La Lengua Espanola del Real Academia Espanola! It does say "voz inglesa", but hey it's in there and what's good enough for the Real Academia is good enough for me!
If you heard anything else, please let me know!! Help is ALWAYS appreciated. ;)

Hola Kirsty,

Tambien venden dulces y helado. "Snowballs" son populares en otros paises? Es hielo raspado con liquido de diferentes sabores con nombres muy graciosos como "Sand in your shorts" (arena en los pantalones cortos)!

P.S. The shot at the end is supposed to be a shrine, lol, but the light in my room is pretty bad!! Hi Kjersti, on a whim I showed your first video to my parents. They thought you were a riot! It was the shirts and the fact that you named your cat Raul and how well you speak Spanish my father thought was great. So afterwards my father asked me if you made anymore videos so I showed him the one where you show your home in PA. If I show him one more video, he may adopt you;)

Here are some pictures of el Parque del Buen Retiro. I wrote everything in Spanish and English so that my family can watch it too!!
12 would indeed help to type faster. It would also help if the local Locutorio got some new keyboards. Arrrgh..these are soo hard to push that my arm muscles are beginning to hurt!

Its terrific to see photos of the park seen through someone else's viewfinder. We spent many an hour there last April & look forward to going again in October to soak up the sun... I should have said to relax in the sun ... we have been soaked to the bone many times when visiting Spain in October!!

Most of the keyboards in my local Internet Cafe (near Plaza Santa Anna) have no, or a least very faded, letters. This can be a problem if you are not used to a Spanish keyboard layout.

Great slideshow! Everything looks so quiet, too - I bet most madrileños are on vacation!
I have only been to Parque del Retiro once (in 1981) and I really liked its atmosphere. For some reason I still remember we saw a group of Spanish Hare Krishnas there. :D This must have been something really special back then - for Spain, that is!

There were actually quite a lot of people there because it was a holiday. I had been to Retiro in 2002 I think. I don't think I walked around the same place that I did this past time. Retiro is so huge I think I will have to go back a couple of times to wander around some more!!
Well I will be meeting Ben and Marina tomorrow! Maybe we will be up to some hijinks!
