Rafael Nadal is in good form this year.
He has recently beaten Guillermos Vilas' record of 53 straight victories on clay,a record that has been unchallenged for three decades.
It will be interesting to see if the young Spaniard can defend his title at Roland Garros.
Being British,I will be rooting for Mr T Henman . (if my nerves can handle it!)
Does anyone else enjoy watching tennis?
How popular is the sport in Spain?

Tennis is very popular here, due to all the champions the country has produced. Spain is doing very well in the Sporting world recently - Nadal, Fernando Alonso, Barcelona winning the European Cup... Shame they won't be going very far in the up-coming workd cup!

Good news, Nadal v Federer is the dream final.

Unusually [for me] I'm not supporting the Spaniard this time, I want Federer to win.

I have been a bit disappointed with the tournament this year but the Nadal v Federer final will make up for this. What a dream final!I think the match will go to five sets.
Looking forward to the England v Paraguay match too.
Come on Beckham!

Dont you think tim Henman and Eddie the Eagle have a lot in common - they're both good losers and never give up!!

Beckhams free kick was so good the Paraguayans knocked it in themselves!!

I guess we'll soon see the "King of Clay" in Forest Hills, NY (US Open). I look forward to that. Rafa has turned out to be a fun player to watch.
