hola everyone..;D
i"m david from the uk [ yorkshire ] been with my girl friend for just over 2 years, she lives in madrid. i have made many trips over there to madrid and my g/f has made many to the uk, but now the time has come for me to go over there too live with her..;D been looking forward too it for ages now. it will be in the next 3 weeks..!! my nerves are a bit wobbly but in a good and exited way, its probably natural si..? :o ..lol.. my spanish is not very good though [ i have not had my head in to it too much ] i know 100's of words but i struggle to make sentances, but i think when i am there surounded by the spanish speakers i will pick it up in no time [ maybe join a spanish course as well].. my g/f has just moved in too her new house, so there is no worries in that dept....plus i have a job to start in a warehouse the pay is only low [ 700 ] a month but everybody has to start somewhere dont they..lol.. i want to try and move on too construction thats very good pay i have heard. i know this path i am taking is all laid out for me but i just wanted to share it with you all.....;D

Be prepared to be shattered after spending an evening thinking ant talking in spanish - Marina made me speak spanish for a full 20 minutes and I had a brain (more) like jelly (than usual) at the end of it.

good luck

.... but i think when i am there surounded by the spanish speakers i will pick it up in no time .....;DHi David. This is known as learning Spanish by osmosis and tends not to work very well ;). Seriously though you will find it a bit easier when you have plenty of people to practice on. Good luck and enjoy Spain.

Have a look at the classified section of the English papers in Spain. Example (http://www.roundtownnews.co.uk/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,147/)here which has a van returning to Spain 18th June part empty. (under SERVICES). You could also contact the normal international removals firms for a quote - it would at least give you an idea of costs involved.

If that's the case, you really need to study Spanish language. A month after, you'll be fluent on that. If ever you will both settle to Spain, why not try to get a tenerife property. I've heard that the it's a beautiful place.

Good luck to you!

Spotted this link in the googleads on the site - might be worth giving them a ring - if they're going anyway they'd rather fill slack capacity than go half empty

the good news is you can get an online estimate by naming the individual items you want to move
