Well, I'm a long time lurker of this forum, just haven't posted much. Anyways, I play guitar and sing with a friend of mine, Michael Flores, and we are most likely gonna be going to Spain sometime this fall or next spring to play for about 2 months. The best part is the trip will be expense paid! Two stops for sure would be Barcelona and Madrid...I think it would be more fun than I should be able to have, because I am going to Argentina this year as well...Argentina and Spain back to back? Thats too cool. Anyways, when specific dates come in, I'll let you fellows in Spain know and maybe we'll run into each other.

Hi Eriol,
That sounds awesome! I am also from Houston, and plan to travel to Spain this fall. Do you know any other spaniards here in town? Tell me more about your band, we might know some of the same people.

Well there are a couple Spanish groups that I go to, and last time I met a guy from Barcelona. I don't really know alot of Spaniards here, just a few really. As far as the band, I play with Michael Flores who plays alot of times at the Venue downtown, and we're also part of a group called Yorkk. I live in Pearland, what part are you in?

I live in the west side of town, right next to memorial city mall. You'll be in Spain for 2 months? How long do you think you'll be spending in each city? Too bad my piano skills are rusty, otherwise I might try playing with you guys (if your music even includes piano)!

Don't know how much time in each city yet. But ya it should be cool...do you have any intercambios or stuff like that here? Know any other groups in Houston that are spanish-oriented?

No, I did the intercambio thing over skype, but haven't found the time recently to do so. I don't know any spaniards in Houston at all. I wish I still did. When I was in kindergarten, I had a spanish friend named Joey Fernandez (or Ferdinand), but I have lost contact with him. Maybe we should try to start some kind of intercambio with spanish people? How is your level of spanish?

I speak with native speakers alot...There is a spanish group called La Mesa Española that meets every Monday at the Taco Milagro off Westheimer and Kirby, and there is another group that only meets once a month but that meeting will be in about 2 weeks at a Spanish restaurant called Tio Pépe which is in Bellaire....they have pretty good paella plus I know a guy from barcelona will be there.
