I've never been to Parque del Capricho, but I've heard it's one of the nicests in Madrid. Ben was there the other day so he should be able to tell us more about it. It is located next to Canillejas Metro stop in line 5 check pics here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/itorres/)and here (http://images.google.es/imgres?imgurl=http://thumb16.webshots.com/t/14/15/2/5/16/305620516EwRiOC_th.jpg&imgrefurl=http://community.webshots.com/album/305617325XhqUak&h=100&w=75&sz=4&tbnid=adD9V0PPpERwDM:&tbnh=77&tbnw=57&hl=es&start=18&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dparque%2Bel%2Bcapricho%2Bmadrid%26svn um%3D10%26hl%3Des%26lr%3D%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:es-ES:official%26sa%3DN).
Los jardines de las Vistillas is more a big square with a few trees than actually a Park. It is where the fiestas de San Isidro y la Verbena de la Paloma are held around the 15th of May and the 9th of August.

El Capricho is near to Parque Juan Carlos I on the outskirts of Madrid, is only open on Sat or Sun. and can onlly really be reached by car.
Las Vistillas is in La Latina just off Calle Bailen - it has great views of the cathedral and the mountains, but drinks on the terraces are very expensive:)
