I must just mention that my future brother-in-law (if they can ever be persuaded after all these years, to stop living in sin and tie the knot!!), Miguel Angel de Castro, is racing at Le Mans this weekend.

The race starts today and he is one of only two Spanish drivers entered. His team is British and is called Chamberlain Synergy.

If anyone saw Vamos a Cocinar con José Andrés on TVE1 earlier this week then you would have seen him as a guest. So modest is he that he didn't tell us until after the programme had been shown - so I haven't seen it yet.

ˇˇˇ Muy buena suerte Miguel Angel !!!

Hope he did not eat too many of these or he´ll lose a few seconds a lap!

Jose Andres manages a couple of restaurants in the DC area. Cafe Atlantico, agreat place which is an eclectic mix of spanish and latin american cuisine in a nouveau fasion. Very creative and very tasty! The other place is Jaleo's which are tapas restaurants (2) also in the DC area. Very authentic and tasty tapas menu. Both are great! Jose Andres is well revered in the US for these restaurants and sought after.

If I'm reading the ghastly website correctly it looks like his team's race ended after 193 laps (transmission problems).:(
