View Full Version : Making a Living in Spain... how I'm planning to do it.

I'm planning on living in Spain for at least 3 months next year. I want to learn Spanish and just spend a bit of time travelling around Europe as well.

The thing is, I really don't want to have to teach English to make money. The idea... I just hate the thought of it. Teaching to groups isn't my thing.

So what I'm doing is making websites which are making money. I figure I can just use the internet anywhere I want so why not make money off it and live in Spain?

I'm doing ok : last three days I have made USD 48, 45 and 20. Today I will make about 35.

I'm doing it by blogging through websites such as PayPerPost.com and SponsoredReviews.com. I also run Google Adsense on one of my sites and do affiliate programs

I'm building more websites and buying another one that will make about $20 a day.

It's not gigantic but it's growing daily. (In August I made a grand total of $2.)

I'm building a big resource of websites that will pay you money to do stuff. It's not done yet but if you PM me I'll get back to you with it when its done.

Just to follow up on that post;

Making Money Online isn't that easy. It's taken me a lot of work to get to where I am now. The $ doesn't come flowing straight away but I'm happy that I have stuck with it.

The trouble with PayPerPost and SponsoredReviews is that they are not very geared towards Europe. I also found a lot of the advertisers went against the system policies - ie. the advertiser doesn't want you to write that you were paid for your entry, but the terms and conditions of the system require it.

In the end I spent a lot of time wondering whether it was worth getting into and signed up to get my blog approved but didn't actually apply for any of the jobs as they seemed too U.S.-themed, which IMHO has not got anything to do with a blog from Germany (normally...) However, I left my blog registered in case an advertiser wanted to contact me.

By a co-incidence the first one did yesterday and has changed my opinion of the system somewhat to be a bit more positive - as they wanted me to write about their German website selling in Germany itself and the topic matched up to the things I write about anyway so I felt comfortable about putting an entry in and linking to them.

Since the topic has come up, I'd be interested to know what other people think about paid blog entries.

I don't think you should overdo it too much - you may make money now out of them but then lose the visitors that will be vital to keep the income going once you're in Spain.

Yeh that's a good point which is why I'm tryin to diversify my income a bit

Am launching 3 sites in the next month

Between them and the one I currently have 30-40 a day is realistic.

Gtappend :)

It's a monumental task buildingthem all at once

But once built, only two require real active ongoing maintenance - one about an hour, another about 2 hours, and the rest of the time for promotion

One of them I will have to do a full days work on every month

Another a full days work every week

I basically do nothing at work because it's really quiet, so I work on my sites

for some pocket change ReviewStream.com might be good, as well as NicheBlast although NB haven't yet reviewed my article after 8 days.

Just keep following your goals.

Your motto reminds me something I had read in a U.S. article:

MAKE MONEY WHILE YOU'RE SLEEPING :thumbs-up:

(or while you are having a good time in Spain..)

Have fun with your next endeavours.

I'll be watching..... in your sleep ;D

They say; when the work does come don't let the internet distract you. :)

I normally dont but did a pretty big stuff up 20 mins ago which I hope won't come back to haunt me

It's a pretty good way of doing things though. I passed up a promotion because it is 100% work and this job plus my online income pays more than the new position!
