Yep, I think it's time to get the debate going... here's my two pennorth' worth
Barcelona - seen as more glamorous by Brits and Yanks. Next to sea, nice views, great Modernista architecture.
Madrid - more work, no need to learn Catalan, free tapa/aperitivo with your drink, more sunshine but colder in winter.
