Hola a todos !!
Well, at the moment I have an account with Caixa Galicia and recently found out that if I have less than 600 euros in my account they charge me 12 euros every 6 months for maintence of the account, as they call it. Do all the banks do this or is this one a bigger thief then the rest ?

Thanks in Advance !!!!

Yeap, most of the traditional banks do, but usually the minimum is 300€.

If you have an internet connection, I would suggest using an on-line bank, they don't charge any commissions at all and the best of all you don't have to wait queues;). You can even make free bank transfers within the EU.

Anyway there are a few to choose from:

- Open Bank (https://bancaonline.openbank.es/servlet/PProxy?app=DJ&cmd=8000) (Belongs to the Santander Central Hispano group)
- ING Direct (http://www.ingdirect.es/html/homeizq.asp?ct=1)
- Uno-e (https://www.uno-e.com/UNOEPUB/tlwu2_index.html) (BBVA group)

I recommend Caja Madrid. They've got an extensive ATM network and offer online banking as well.
