During my two years in Spain I spent most of my time in Madrid, but I spent 4 months in Badajoz, 4 months in Alcázar de San Juan, 3 months in Alcobendas, and 6 weeks in Valladolid. I traveled a lot when I was there and went to a lot of the small pueblos. Peñafiel was the last one and I really liked it. If you´re looking for some good travel destinations around madrid that aren´t very touristy, I know a few.

I finally got the file size small enough to be able to post my pictures. The first two were taken in alcazar de san juan. The first is a grave after dia de los muertos and the second is the train station there. The last two pictures were taken at cuenca.

Enjoy

P.S. I'd love to post more pictures if there was a way I could post more than 4 at a time.

I just added a few photos from in and around Barcelona to the Flickr group. I've been trying to make a habit of getting out at least once a week to take a few shots...assuming it's ok for locals (and local expats) to post their photos too, I'll add a few more now and then. :)

Did anyone happen to go to Las Fallas in Valencia this year? I'm sure there were some great shots to be had there...

Greg, really nice photos! Inspired me never to leave the house without the camera from now on! By all means keep posting, ex-pats are more than welcome! 8)

Polostar, I'm really sorry, your attached images got lost in the move to the new forum software, please do upload them again if you have the chance!
