Tengo una pregunta rapida...Cuando uso 'le' vs. 'se'? Por ejemplo, si quiero decir "I want to see him," se dice en espanol "yo quiero le ver" o "yo quiero se ver?"

Saludos, Grellow! "Se" es un pronombre indirecto que substituye "le" o "les", cuando estos dos estan en frente de pronombre directo que empieza en letra "l". Por ejemplo:

Les dimos el dinero. (We gave them the money.)
Se lo dimos. (We gave it to them.)

Le dimos el dinero a ella. (We gave the money to her).
Se lo dimos (We gave it to her.)

Pero, ojo!

Te dimos el dinero. (We gave you the money.)
Te lo dimos. (We gave it to you).

Also when using an infinitive the pronoun will follow or go at the front

e.g Quiero verle. o Le quiero ver.

....bit of a can of worms though because this would be an example of 'leismo' using le as a direct pronoun. Common in a lot of spain, but not SA where it would be Quiero verlo.

Estoy de acuerdo que el asunto "le" abre una lata de gusanos!! ;D

En cuanto al Leísmo: Creo que en muchas partes de España, se usa "le" cuando el objeto directo es un hombre...y en unas partes se usa "le" para referirse a una mujer también.
Como enseñó Tad. Se puede escribir...
Le ví.
En América Latina es más commún decir...
Lo ví, o La ví.

También es muy commún usar un verbo passivo con "le" cuando se refiere a algo inesperado o involuntario.
Se le acabó el dinero. He ran out of money.
Se le mojan los ojos. His eyes are watering.
Se le quedó las llaves en el carro. He left the keys in the car.

Pués, te aseguro que el uso de le varia mucho entre los reginones.
