Instead of the usual religious film - Ben Hur or something - shown on Christmas Day on the Spanish telly, we were treated this time to The Da Vinci Code: a film about how the naughty Church and fiendish Opus Dei are willing to murder for their Big Secret. Pass the biscuits.
However, to show it on Christmas Day and offend the Catholics is all a bit provocative: sounds like the satellite people have some ulterior point to make..?
And indeed yes. The Canal Satelite is part of the media conglomerate started by the late Jesús Polanco, a keen supporter (and vice versa) of the PSOE.
