I found a great site, complete with Podcast and forums to help you learn Spanish. The podcast is a lower level than the NIS podcasts. So, it might be a good resource for folks who might not feel quite fluent enough to keep up with Ben and Marina.

Thanks Ryan. I found this a while ago, in fact at the same time I discovered NFS, but I couldn't quite get on with it. I can't exactly put my finger on the problem but I thought there was far too much 'fluff' (really sorry, I just don't have the words this morning). I just found myself screaming at the podcasts, "just get on with it!!". It probably confuses me too because it is geared to Latin-American learning.
What they are doing is quite neat and I congratulate them, especially on the pen-pals thing but it just doesn't do it for me as a podcast.
I did notice when I looked at the site just now that the same person who advertised briefly [and cheekily] here yesterday, Cuscomania, is top of their forum too.:D

I'm 100% with you - Insta-Spanish is a great resource, but NFS is (for me anyhow) just slicker, more contemporary and European (where I'm based). It's also a while since Insta-Spanish added any new podcasts or newsletters.
One resource I'll be eternally grateful to them for however, is a link to LoMasTv http://www.lomastv.com. I suppose you'd describe it as a video library with "real world" Spanish language video shorts, but it's much more sophisticated than that, with the ability to control to speed of video playback, optional subtitles in both Spanish and English, notes and exercises built into the technology. A little difficult to explain here, but I think it's fab...and no...I've not got a commerical interest in it!
It costs $10.00 dollars/month to subscribe, but there's a pretty extensive free demo, so you can check out what's on offer - well worth the price in my opinion.
Erika.

Yeah, I agree. Their podcasts could be half the amount of time, if they cut out all the announcements and "fluff"!
