Blessing of the animals

I have just been reading about the Dia de San Anton festival in Madrid (17 Jan) in which people take their domestic animals to be blessed outside the church of San Anton.(This could make a great podcast,Ben!)
Apparently,the Day of St Anthony is celebrated in other regions of Spain.In Alicante,animals are blessed in the bullring.
If anyone knows of any other unusual festivals,I would love to hear about it.

I've heard of that one, but never been - next year for sure. I've put it on the forum calender (http://www.notesfromspain.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=2&day=2006-1-17) for next year too. I want to start putting all the fiestas on here, so if anyone knows more, with dates, please let me know!
