As mentioned in the other thread, I'm going to Minorca on Saturday. Please tell me what to do/see!

Cheers :)

If you have the car you are going to have a great time. Menorca is full of tiny 'calas', the perfect-blue bays that can only be reached by car and then a bit of a walk. The thing to do is to ask at the tourist office when you get there about where the nicest ones are - in Ibiza and Formentera they were really helpful in that respect - you should get a map pointing you to the best places. Lucky you! If it was me I would get some snorkelling gear too and take little bits of bread out to feed the fishes :)

Have you been to Menorca? (I wasn't sure if it was Minorca or Menorca) I'm counting down the days until I go. I hear Menorca is nowhere near as Mallorca in terms of crowds and tourists, but I still expect to see a few Blackpools abroad.

I'll definitely be going to the calas. I've heard about them from someone else too. One thing I love about Fuerteventura is that you can have a mile of beach to yourself. Is Menorca the same in that respect?

I've never been no, but I think the Calas will be similar to those I saw in Mallorca. They aren't miles long, but if you try to get to the most off-the-beaten-track ones you should find tranquility. Tip: ask the tourist office lady which the nudist beaches are - nudists always have the best taste in out of the way places ;)

Furteventura was brilliant for that. There are hundred of beaches on that island, and only 2 of them are NOT nuddy ones :)

. . . until I saw "Big Bertha"

I've never been to Menorca, but I've heard that it is the best of the islands and the less crowded. Enjoy your holidays!!!
