There are some great photos on 20minutos (http://www.20minutos.es/galeria/1300/0/0/) today from yesterday's chupinazo.

I have mixed emotions today as I look at these happy pictures. A year ago today I was heading to the train station to make my regular journey to work in London when the tragic events of the London bombings started to unfold.

In Britain today we will think about the victims and their families. I am sure there are those here who think the best way for this not to happen again is to negotiate with al-Qaeda but today I hope everyone will spare a thought for the victims and not for the demands of the cowardly terrorists and their supporters.

In Pamplona they will continue with their party, and good luck to them. I must go and join them one day...

I usually record the 8:00 AM news from Radio Nacional de España 5 for iPod playback later in the day, and was very delighted to have caught their broadcast of the running of the bulls. It very much reminds me of the announcers of a Spanish football broadcast-- very passionate, very involved, and as always, talking very rapidly.

At any rate, I edited a condensed version of their broadcast (about 4.5 minutes) and put it up on the web, if anyone is interested in listening. The file is in mp3 format.
