There are a few places in my list, like:
Western Asturias. I've never been to the part near to Galicia and I would really like to go at some point.
Teruel. I've seen the tower pictures and I really want to go.
Camino de Santiago on a bicycle.
Remote little villages in Andalucia.

Well, I haven't been to Spain (yet), but I would first like to visit Barcelona, mostly to see the architecture and the really ancient stuff. As an American, the idea of walking up to something built by Romans and touching it boggles my mind. Also, I've been told that there is a museum dedicated to Barcelona's sewer system that I would like to visit. Weird huh?
However, I will probably end up going to Madrid first, in which case I would like to try to see all the places mentioned in Captain Alatriste.

I think I'm going to learn a lot with the forum. Since we started, www.wordreference.com (http://www.wordreference.com) is the page I most visit.
I didn't know what "sewe" was but I've been checking both in previously mentioned page and google to discover that apart from
a Sewe museum, in Barcelona there are a Chocolat museum, Shoe museum and old style Hearse museum. :o

I just got back from Barcelona and previously visited Sevilla, Granada, and (very briefly) Madrid... When I go back I'm going to the Basque country and out towards Galicia. I'm amazed at the diversity of Spain, its people, the land, etc. So it's always a pleasure to go back and see a side of Spain I haven't seen before.

My partner and I are in the process of moving permanently to Spain - to a small pueblo near Loja in Andalucia. We're learning all about the Spanish legal system for house-buying, gas and electricity utiilities etc. Also how to get rid of our English car and buy one in Spain. The health service, residencia, empadronimiento etc etc. Moving to a new country is a major undertaking! I was wondering how Ben got on when he first moved. I imagine you were much more laid back?:)

For me it has to be Los Sanfermines in Pamplona. I would love to do this. However, the missus wants to go to Italy so it looks like it may have to wait a bit. Also, I would like to stay in a parador and I also want to go to Menorca, Formentera, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Gomera etc, etc, etc, etc, etc................. Me gustaria visitar todos!!

Inspired by your podcast, I'd like to see Don Justo's cathedral.
The July fiestas in Anguiano, La Rioja. I'd really like to see the stilt dancers spinning and "running" down the hill at Cuesta de los Danzadores.
Picos de Europa because I have never been and the pictures look amazing.I could go on and on, there are just too many places to mention!

I always look forward to returning to Barcelona. Gill and I stay at a small Hostel just off Paral-lel. I have been maybe seven or eight times over the last three years and have got to know the bario quite well. Raval and the area to the other side of Paral-lel are on the up and small bars are opening up all the time. I have a favourite Indian and Italian resteurant close to the hostel and we watch the football at bar that has a name that gets blocked out by Bens profanity catcher as it contains a combination of four letters that make is VERY rude word in English.
The recently refurbished cafe on the square at the bottom of the street is great for breakfast or lunch and the metro and bus stops are there too. A ten minute walk past the police station and the red light area (Plaza de Marques de Barbera for anyone so inclined!) puts you on Las Ramblas. For a late night chill out Ambar at the bottom of Rambla de Raval is great - and you can even get a kebab afterwards if youre homesick!
I have an old Ford Escort estate which will be 12 years old next year. I am planning to drive down to Barcelona in late July and do a 2/3 week intensive course in Spanish then drive on south to meet my wife at maybe Malaga airport and have a beach holiday for a couple of weeks berfore driving back. If the car doesnt make it? We'll scrap it and fly back.

My wife and kids are currently in Barcelona (somewhere I have always wanted to go), on a free holiday paid for by my sister in law. I couldn't get the time off work, and am stuck here getting regular texts about how wonderful it is. I hope it's raining there, but I doubt it.

Yikes, having seen the horrible bank holiday weather in the UK this weekend those text messages look pretty cruel!! Text them back with a list of things they have to bring you back.

Hi both,
and then on to Seville where I hear there are some amazing processions & celebrations during Semana Santa.

"La Semana Santa" of Seville is nice if you've never seen it before, but now after 15 years in Seville I have learnt to stay well away from the city centre during Easter. It simply gets full of people. I mean FULL!!

I'd love to see more of Andalucía: Seville and Cordoba, for instance. And I'm planning to visit Tenerife.
I think I'm going to learn a lot with the forum. Since we started, www.wordreference.com (http://www.wordreference.com) is the page I most visit.
Their on-line dictionary is a great help!

CADIZ city and province : So much in that part of Spain (Cádiz, Puerto Santa María, Conil, Barbate, Caños de Meca, zahara de los atunes, Chipiona...)
LA GRACIOSA ISLAND: The eighth of the Canary Island is a tiny and remote piece of land (about 25 square kms.) completely umpolluted. Only about 100 people live permanently in the fishing port of Caleta de Sebo, the small and modest houses are on the beach, there is not a single inch of concrete in the whole island, neither cars, buses or any other four wheeled vehicles (appart from only 3 or 4 pick up trucks to help the locals with basic transportation), the roads are small sandy paths, there landscape is breathtaking, it is a volcanic desert and the coast line is full on incredible spots, rocky shores, inland waters, astonishing beaches, magnificent view of nearby Lanzarote Island...
An absolute unspoilt paradise, full of quietness and beauty. I went there last november and I'm hoping to get back soon.
