carabeo road nerja?

Hi new member here ,


does anyone on here have any info on the roadworks that are going on at the momment on the carabeo road in Nerja .


we are staying in a house for our holidays on the 28th june 2008 for 2 weeks, the house is called .... casa carabeo del mar..... we have stayed in this house twice before and love it , but i have just heard that the carabeo road has lots of roadworks going on at the momment and was worried that it would be going on when we are there . anyone with any info?

When were you there last? Certainly last October there was work going on, not sure if it still is. I´ll let you know before June, we´ll be back middle of May! :)
We stayed in the Hotel Carabeo once, the most impressive room and bed I have ever had! We booked one of the cheaper rooms, I think it was a broom cupboard! They led us up to a suite, private balcony, private lounge, chinese furniture,dressing gowns etc. I told them there had been a mistake, there was no way I was paying for that room, it was scarily expensive. :( They agreed there had been a mistake, and it was their mistake, and that the room was ours for the whole stay at the previously arranged price. Our mistake, enjoy it at our expense. What nice people! :D

You could ask the question here (http://www.andalucia.com/forums/) there are quite a few people there living in or around Neja, they´ll know.

what a nice surprise that was for you at the hotel carabeo:) i have seen that hotel it is very close to the house we are staying in ,it is on the same road , it is that road that is having the work done on it:( and it is still going on as far as i can tell .



the last time i was in Nerja was the first 2 weeks of sept 2007, but we stayed a bit further back in an apartment by the parador hotel .


but we prefer to stay on the carabeo road as it is so near everything
so we are going back to the ...casa carabeo del mar....

it is right next to the balcon and has a great sea view , with a great terrace and a plunge pool.

The works are still on going and should be finished by the end of May. They are laying new drainage but have nearly finished and will just have the resurfacing to do. This will be cobled and therefore could take some time but I'm told they will be finished by May. (They were due to finish for Semana Santa).
