Flickr are experimenting with video (http://flickr.com/groups/video/). Seems to be better quality and a decent sized display window compared to you know who tube. Try this one (http://flickr.com/photos/ruzek/2401624433/in/pool-video) for a very unusual effect. Limited length so far (which may actually be a good thing IMHO ;))

I´ll check this out when I get on my home computer tonight. I´m getting a bit miffed with Youtube lately, although I reckon my ISP might be semi-blocking it. I can´t remember the last video that I managed to get to the end of without it cutting out. I´ve still not even been able to watch more than the first 30 seconds of the new Notes in Spanish L!VE video yet. Does it fly like sh*t off a shovel for everyone else? Not for me :(.

I'm not sure if the Flickr video! video! video! group is opened up to the public yet as it is by invitation only. It only had about 70 on when I last looked so they are maybe keeping it in-house while they develop it. Anyway, variety is the spice of life so have a look :)
found some "help" info here (http://www.flickr.com/help/video/)

Interesting stuff. What I don't see though is the ability to embed Flickr videos on other sites, which would be useful, in the way it is with youtube.

Can I download a video?
You can only download original versions of your videos if you’re the owner. Others may embed your video in other web pages, provided they have permission, but can’t “download” them.
From their help pages - doesn't say how

You need to find one that has been shared for embedding, then click on the "embed" link in the toolbar immediately above the video. This takes you to an options page when you can copy the source code for embedding it. Have a look at this page, for example:
http://flickr.com/photos/cliveandrews/2401051103/in/pool-video/
The source looks like this:
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="400" height="300" data="http://www.flickr.com/apps/video/stewart.swf?v=1.171" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"> <param name="flashvars" value="intl_lang=en-us&photo_secret=430ec3d1ec&photo_id=2404554257"></param> <param name="movie" value="http://www.flickr.com/apps/video/stewart.swf?v=1.171"></param> <param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/video/stewart.swf?v=1.171" bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="intl_lang=en-us&photo_secret=430ec3d1ec&photo_id=2404554257" height="300" width="400"></embed></object>
Where :D is of course colon-D

I'm assuming that Ben could create a vBulletin BB code macro taking the SWF URL as a parameter to embed the required HTML for that...
