A friend of mine received the below quote in an email from her friend in Mexico, but her Spanish isn't too good, so she asked me to translate it into English.
sabes me gustaría que algún día conocieras mi pais algún vamos ha ir eso esperoI understand the basic meaning and have sent it to her, but I get the feeling that it wasn't very well written by the sender.
I told her it basically means, "You know that one day I would like you to get to know/visit my country, I hope we can go."
The highlighted algún and missing punctuation threw me a bit and I'm wondering if the writer is a touch illiterate or am I missing something? :confused:
