Tour bus

Hi Marina,
As a first time visitor to Madrid,would you recommend using the Madrid Vision tour bus or do you think that it is easy enough to get around the city?
Also,is the metro air-conditioned? (The London underground was 47 degrees yesterday.I think I am becoming obsessed with temperatures.It must be an English thing!)

I think the Madrid Vision tours work very well if you are sort of time; because you can see lots from the bus, or if you easily get tired walking. If not Madrid centre is not that big and part of it's beauty is to get lost in the little streets and by chance find a good place for a coffe or tapas.

On the other hand the metro trains are Air con but some stations aren't, which makes the heat unberable sometimes. However it's the quickest and easiest way to move around.
